CANpoint is Sun Hydraulics’ software for configuring the XMD controller. The program is available for free download and requires no programming skills — configuration is done through a user-friendly interface.

CANpoint is a simple and highly cost-effective way to create closed-loop control applications. Common use cases include fan control, proportional pressure and position control, and proportional speed control.

CANpoint at a glance

  • Real-time feedback of live values, both as numerical data and graphs

  • Logging of input and output data for analysis

  • Optional password protection

In addition to basic open-loop control, the CANpoint software also enables more advanced settings such as PID control.
