Several of Sun Hydraulics’ sandwich manifold bodies are reversible – meaning that the flow direction for meter-in and meter-out depends on how the sandwich body is installed. This is a major advantage, as the same body can be used in multiple applications. However, it also requires that the body is mounted in the correct orientation.
Pay close attention to the position of the so-called “notch” – the slotted or keyed cut-out in the O-ring plate. Depending on the valve function, the orientation of the sandwich body must be adjusted accordingly during installation.
