This causes the cylinder to move faster but with reduced force.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"408\" data-end=\"919\"><strong data-start=\"408\" data-end=\"448\">Regenerative operation in compactors<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"408\" data-end=\"919\">In some applications, it&#8217;s desirable to switch between regenerative and normal operation \u2013 for example, in compactors. When the cylinder moves through a section without load, the system automatically engages the regenerative mode, allowing the press head to move quickly. Once the press head contacts the material to be compacted, the pressure increases, and the system switches to normal operation to utilize full force. This is known as <em data-start=\"890\" data-end=\"918\">pressure-sensitive control<\/em>.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"921\" data-end=\"1211\"><strong data-start=\"921\" data-end=\"962\">Systems in constant regenerative mode<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"921\" data-end=\"1211\">For applications that don\u2019t require automatic switching, there are full-time regenerative systems that always operate in regenerative mode. This setup allows for the use of a smaller pump, which benefits installation dimensions, weight, and cost.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1213\" data-end=\"1407\"><strong data-start=\"1213\" data-end=\"1265\">Pre-assembled manifolds for regenerative systems<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1213\" data-end=\"1407\">Available in both in-line and sandwich-mounted versions.
